Why isn't Dingy Harry Reid resigning? I mean he commited a crime. Foley simply accused.

Where is that selective moral outrage that I laugh so hard at?

When Republicans do immoral things, they admit it, resign and/or go to jail. Unlike for example William Jefferson "oh no political assignation" We all know how that turned out

G what part of this DON'T you comprehend?

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid is awaiting word from the Senate ethics committee on whether he failed to properly account for a business deal that allowed him to collect a $1.1 million windfall on land he hadn't personally owned for three years.

Whats not to understand about that? Can't dodge that one

Name one thing that Dubya has admitted to doing wrong since being in office? Heck, he can't even keep straight whether he is concerned about bin Laden or not. How about Cheney? Name something that he had admitted to doing wrong. I'll give you hints- Halliburton ties and shooting a hunting companion and hiding out for way too long.

Power begets corruption, IMO. Both sides have had their issues with coming clean on certain things.

And what do you mean that Foley simply accused? Do you mean that he has been accused of something? Emails show he was communicating with minors in a sexual manner, his aid has said that he was doing it and hundreds of pages were made aware to be cautious with any interactions with Foley. If Foley wasn't guilty why would he have resigned so quickly?

Harry Reid hasn't been charges with anything- on the other hand we have Republican Ohio Republican Representative Bob Ney, the only member of Congress to be criminally charged in the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal, pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington, Friday morning, to bribery charges stemming from that influence-peddling investigation

Ney now joins the rare ranks of members of Congress who have been convicted of felonies. He is expected to serve 27 months in prison based on a Justice Department recommendation.

Ney, who is not seeking re-election, said, in a statement released after today’s court action, "I will not be resigning from Congress.

IWilliam Jefferson hasn't been charges either-in spite of that, the Dems forced him to resign from the Ways & Means committee.

He did not commit a crime.

You are trying to muddy the water to provide a cover for the Republicans who HAVE been charged with crimes.

The most that can happen with Harry Reid is that they ask him to restate his interest in the property in his Congressional disclosures.

what exactly is the crime? I don't think any charges have been filed?

can you explain it to me where the illegal action was?

and both sides are full of selective moral outrage... Cunningham, Delay, Ney, Foley, Scooter... you guys run to these guys defense on here...

edit:
SO, WHAT CRIME WAS COMMITTED?

uh... doesn't it say he was part of a business that sold the property... this is far more complicated than you apparently understand...

"head scratcher" is not an answer...

Dick Cheney

And what do you think of Bob Ney? After a lot of pressure, he may plead guilty when originally he was going to stay in office until just before the case was heard.

Ah...I see you're an astute, open-minded soul who prefers to believe in the possibility of Financial Fiddling rather than confessed Boy Diddling.

How terribly Republican of you.

Has any charges been filed?

You are very cynical & untrusting of the American justice system if you believe any one party controls the justice system.

If he is guilty, he should be charged. Until then you need to find another example.

no longer a hundred% specific how her skill works, I ought to ask does she have the authority to do anymore than to "ask" him to renounce. yet you're superb, if she had the 1st actual inkling of "draining the swamp" she could have a minimum of "asked" him to renounce (and made it public) as quickly as he become chanced on accountable of what 12 ethics violations. i think of if she did so it could upload a tad of creditability to her extremely broken recognition and make her a individual of her word, extremely than in simple terms somebody that talks approximately it.
