I think at some time in the last century, the 1940's if I'm not mistaken, we had a hand in saving them from some ambitious German guy with a funny mustache and a penchant for killing Jews with gas. I'm pretty sure that had we not gotten involved in this little hiccup there really wouldn't be much of a Europe to talk about, but that's just me. We sure do buy the crap out of Japanese cars for that matter. Mitsubishi also manufactured an aircraft called the "zero", that was used to kill a few Americans. I own a Honda so I guess it's all about perspective.

discovered? found? there were already people living here. they discovered America thousands of years before the Europeans arrived. anyway, as much gold, silver and other natural resources as these early conquers send back to Europe, they should be paying us.

NO. they should make big annuity payments to us because we saved them in two wars. We bomb you into submission then we rebuild you (Germany, Japan) then allow your economies to get better then ours & create huge trade deficets. But that is the American way.

We paid them...with lots of bullets, spilled Tea, and a Declaration of Independance. Feel guilty? I don't.
