Seriously amusing? Sounds like an oxymoron.
I find introspection somewhat depressing.

I try to see my life as a sitcom. It's not even hard. Even the bad things are seriously funny if it were a sitcom. I should write about my life as a sitcom. I believe people would even watch it because it is so way out there and so strange, yet comical. I have a middle son who is extremely entertaining, strange, but entertaining. For example, once he took finger Wesson handcuffs and cuffed our cat's front paws together. Cruel yes, but funny, uh, yes. We had to take her to the vet cause the key busted in the lock and just trying to get her was hard enough. When we finally held her to bring her to the vet, the vet was a block away, he put her down to run. (she came home later but more wary of the middle son. He's not allowed to handle her without penalties.) Then, there was the lizard contest and the cutting of wires in the cable box to get to the lizards. No one had cable for an entire afternoon. Geez, I could sit here all evening telling his stories. Then, there are my other two and me and my family. My deceased husband's stories and his family's. Yup, we are all a bit passionate and colorful definitely funny in a strange way.

Sometimes my introspection is not a laughing matter, especially when I've screwed up or said the wrong thing, or taken the wrong course of action without first having thought it through.
I do enjoy the happier moments of introspection-it can be a phenomenal thing when you can laugh at yourself and see the pettiness or the good things you're made of, and how your views relate to reality and the rest of the world. Thanks for a good question-if you'll please excuse me, it's time for another round of serious introspection!!

If you can laugh at yourself, that's a mature mind that is able to comprehend all the things that has happened in your life and see things in the lighter side.

Oh god yes - my own imagination is just too brilliant, keeps me entertained night and day, but one of these days it's going to get a little out of hand and get me into trouble ... but what the hell. I'll weasel out of the trouble again, like I always do ...

I don't really find having my head up my a**e very amusing. Prefer to look outwards and enjoy where I am.

Only when I'm drunk and embittered. Otherwise, it's easier to cry rather than laugh about life.
