I watched the first show of the new season and Toni Charles is gone. Does anyone know what happened?

I've been seeing her in commercials for alcoholic beverages. I heard she was fired from Girlfriends. Don't know why though.

On the show they said she moved to New York so her daughter can grow up near her father. But why she actually left the show is still a mystery to me. There are so many rumors. I posted the question before the season started and people said that:
She wanted more money
The others didn't like her
They didn't know if there would be another season so she signed to do other work
So I don't know what's true and what isn't. I wish they would bring her back. These new story lines are dull. I can't believe the most interesting thing going on is William trying to figure out if he wants to marry Monica.
Lynn still mooching
Joan still whining
Mya and her husband still not telling each other everything

which one was she, im white and I love that show,lol. i loved the season finale last year. havent had much chance to watch this season so far
