There's this popular girl at my school that dosen't like one of my friends my friend hadn't done anything to her all the sudden her friends came to my friend telling her the popular girl didn't like her now they are saying the popular girl wants to fight her should we go to the principal?

Yes. Tell the principal. The principal might not be able to actually do much, and if the popular girl gets talked to, that will likely make her angry. Stick to your friend like glue whenever you can.
When I was in 7th grade, this girl wanted to fight me, and I wouldn't, and she made fun of me and called me names until I called her a ***** one morning, and that was the day I found out I only had one friend in the whole school - this girl beat the crap out of me, and another one came over to help her kick me. They dragged me around by the hair. The other 400 kids stood in a circle laughing and pointing. The only person who tried to help was my friend who was with me - she went and got some teachers.
Stick to your friend like glue. It is no fun getting beaten up.

ok your what 10-16 well this is what you do.. Ignore this girl and her friends.. If your friend is uneasy about it go to you principal there is nothing wrong with that.. But listen when a person tells you they dont like you its a form of control they think your gonna do everything possible to get them to like you. and shes not worth it.. So tell you girlfriend to keep being herself and ignore that other girl and all her friends casue they just are trying to start trouble to make themsevles look better. But it wont work. BUT REMEMBER THE BEST TOOL IT A BOOK BAG KEEP IT FULL OF BOOKS IF THE OTHER GIRL STARTS SOME MESS OR TOUCHES YOUR FRIEND TELL YOUR FRIEND TO HIT HER WITH IT. SHE'LL LEAVE HER ALONE AFTER THAT... BUT IM NOT PUSHING VOLENCE HERE. YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS KEEP THE PEACE AND GO TO THE PRINCIPAL BEFORE THIS GOES ANY FURTHER.

Before matters get worse you should find out exactly what the problem is because it could just be some " He said She said"and if your friend didn't hear it from the girls mouth then she shouldn't go running to the principal because then you will be making something out of nothing. GET THE FACTS FIRST.

If you can't work it out between each other(without fighting) then you should go thought the proper chain of command. I don't think I would go to the principal first. Maybe a trusted teacher or guidance counselor.

Laugh at her. She's completely insecure and feels she needs to put your friend down in order to make herself feel big and better. Your friend obviously has something that makes her jealous and bitter. Just tell her you feel sorry for her. Sorry that she needs to make others feel bad to make herself feel better. She's popular now, but trust me, those are always the ones that end up LOSERS in life. Stay strong, you're a good friend.

not unless the girl shows any true actions of wanting to fight alot of girls are just talk if you go to the principal and she gets in trouble she will like her even less and will probably make fun of her for tattling

shes only doing that to look cool infron of her freinds...lol i think your freind should just let it go...and then if she comes up to her punch her right in the face....as hard as she can...lol and thatll show her..make sure its right at the nose too!!! if your not comfy doing that then you can always tell the principal..which is the wiser thing to do

Yes go to the school authorities if this thing looks like it's going to blow up into something out of hand.
