Yes indeed! Ask for the bakery to bake one without frosting and you can even decorate it yourself. Some brides even bake their own. As long as you like the taste, it's perfectly acceptable. No one remembers if the cake tasted good IMO! they might remember the decoration or the event being fun, but the cake? I don't even remember what food was served at the wedding dinners. Of course I'd remember my own, but that's another case!

Well, that depends on alot like
1. the amount of people (and everyone don't eat cake)
2. If you just wanna get the $#!t over with and you don't care
3. don't care how the cake will look in you pictures.
I wouldn't cause it's just one day your special day and to me, pictures last forever so go on and spend that money and another thing the grocery stores do make wedding cakes now at a lesser price. If your low on cash don't make it extreme to buy a big cake get a nice little fancy WEDDING CAKE. Congratulations and Good luck!

Yes you can. I would suggest the white cake With a whipped cream frosting vs. the butter cream as it's not as sugar. Then, serve it with a side of hot fudge and/or strawberries. No one will even guess
