I had my tubes tied 20 years ago, never used any other kind of contraception since, never been pregnant since either.
I think it is sad though that someone who is 'very young' but doesnt want kids is considering such a drastic step, we never know how we will feel when we are older, I had my kids when I was very young and always said that I would have hated to be an older mum (i'm 46), now when I have my grandchildren I am more than aware that not only could I look after kids at my age, I would love to;
You can get a contraceptive injection, my daughter in law uses this method, it is fairly reliable.

Right now, you might think you don't want kids, but twenty years from now, if you get your tubes tied or ovaries removed, you are going to be the saddest person in the world. Your opinion will change. Birth control, abstinence and condoms. Those are the only ways. You could also get a diaphragm.

I respect your opinion and right to choose the path and direction of your life. A tubal ligation can be done in different ways. When a section of the tube is removed and both ends are sealed there is no way conception can occur.

As you stated, you are young and may be too early for you to make such a dramatic decision yet. However, your best bet would be to speak with your doctor on the best birth control available to prevent pregnancy along with the easiest to take and the easiest to "remember" to take.
Best of luck !

Don't make any drastic decisions when you're young. You have absolutely no idea how you'll feel in 10-15 years. Why don't you ask your next question - how many people absolutely did not want kids under any circumstances when they young and later changed their minds and are happy they did...

in order for you not to get pregnant there has to be no eggs for the sperm to fertilize. Therefore if you get your ovaries taken out you will never get pregnant and no period.
