I would go with King Fortis the Brave - about a pair of twins that are transported to a magical world where they get caught up in a battle for control of the land. Full of adventure and humor, I know you'll love it if you liked the Harry Potter books.

If you like Harry Potter you might try Emily Drake. She has a series somewhat like Harry Potter, but with several distinct changes. Otherwise, if you just like fantasy either go to you favorite bookstore or used bookstore and check out books to your hearts content. Or you can sign on at Baen's Books on the web, and talk with others in their chat room, bounce ideas back and forth in the Bar, check out authors and their upcoming works, or just go to the ebook site and either read or download free ebooks. Have fun, happy reading!

You might try Pride and Prejudice or another of Jane Auston's works. Jane Eyre was good, as well. If you enjoy fantasy, Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman was good, as was Stardust. Life of Pi, by something Martel was good book, with a great ending. Count of Monte Christo is a classic, by Alexandre Dumas. Hope that helps.

I'm in the middle of Peace like a River, it's a wonderful book.
It's about a boy and his family, living somewhere in the midwest. His older brother runs away and the family begins a cross country search for him, all while the FBI is tracking their every move. The writing is very descriptive and beautiful.

You might appreciate some books like Animal Farm or 1984... oldies but well-written by Orwell.
