...turned out to actually be someone you dislike or even hate in real life?
What about the other way around?
Have any of you fine folks had something like that happen?
And why doesn't this section have a spell check? :)
I couldn't find a better place to post this, so I'm going with P&S.

It hasn't happened to me either. I just thought of the possibility while answering another question and thought it could be a source of some interesting anecdotes.

I figure no more answers are forthcoming, but it's very hard to decide on one.
I'd like to think kat s is right, but I'd like to hear more of the story from the hottest goddess as well.

Well it might turn out that there is another side to the person you dislike, and that might lead to a friendship. I wish they had spell ck. for that section to........:)

It wouldn't bother me. I've found it just takes time to get to know some people. Some that I really disliked I later learned were okay. Some people are not very good at expressing themselves.
If it was the other way around than that would be great.
This has never happened to me. I work most of the time so I don't have much of a social life.
This place does have spell check. It's on the top right hand side of the dialog box.

Emails, IM's and Internet talking is not always accurate in the display of emotion. When you interface with someone, you see their facial expressions, their tone of voice, and all that other stuff. On line, you don't have all that - and no stress! So, in one sense, you get to be somebody you WANT to be on line, and not who you really are. But, that's not always true either. The Internet can be really impersonal at times.
My ex has a crappy personality and is really introverted. BUT, when he talks to me on line, he is 'somebody' else. Even almost tolerable!
Counsel rests. Are there any questions from the defense?

Hmmm, that isn't very likely to happen to me, because I actually try to know people as best as I can. I'm sure that if I meet my friends of here outside, I will still like them the same.

I saw a chick flick like that, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks called "you got mail".
the spell check thing missing from the add comment section annoys me too.

that would really suck. I did meet one cyber person that was nothing like his cyber personality.......but the others have all been true blue to who they seem to be. and yeah why doesn't the question part have spell check?? that bugs me too they only spell check the beginning part of the question so if you have a typing issue or dyslexia like me it can make you look tupid..........
