Lack of zinc, calcium and water. Drink milk and water and make sure you don't bite your nails. I do and I have white marks all over my nails.

In reference to your white line in nail..umm didnt mom ever tell you?That was a white lie u told.Joking..in the medical office we categorize this with a nail injury as in banged it,smashed,tore back something in that category...

its normally lack of zinc when you have white spots on your nails you may of damaged the nail bed and thats how your nail will always grow

you have not said which finger. as it is just one finger it sounds like a possible injury.maybe you have gently scrathced it and not noticed.
