you just need your marriage license to bring back to the US... I had friends that got married in Canada and they had no problems getting their marriage recognized in the US. I was married in Mexico, I thought we would have a problem getting our marriage recognized in the US. I went to the court house with my Mexican wedding certificate and they told me I didn't have to do anything at all.... the Mexican marriage was completely recognized in the US. I had no problems changing my name with social security or my drivers license. So you'll be fine. Just make sure you check what is required in Canada for you to marry a US citizen. For us, neither one of us was a Mexican Citizen.. so we had to 1.) be in the country for 3 days before we could get married 2.) have our birth certificates, 3.) Have Passports (no exceptions... no passport no wedding) and 4.) have a blood test.

I just answered your other question too... hope I've been some what helpful! Again... congratulations

as long as your marriage is register legally where you are married, it is legal
have you ever heard of people married on boats, in other continent, in the Caribbean these mariages are all legal
I was married to a Canadian while leaving in the US (married in NY live in Canada divorce after 13 years in Florida)
it was all legal
Now I have remarried to a french man we were married in Florida and as far as France is concern our wedding is legal
my husband has send the marriage certificat to be register in France at the consulat, but for US and Canada you don't need to do any registration
Congradulation
