In a restaurant, why would someone order a whole dinner plate and then just eat?

the main thing. My daughter works in a Greek restaurant and instead of just getting a souvlaki she says some people order the platter with a Greek salad etc but only eat the meat out of the souvlaki. This is such a waste. Why don't they at least ask for it to be put in a doggy bag?

I guess that some people just always order a meal or they are with friends and order a meal. I love souvlaki, the bread is my favorite part. I really don't like to eat meat so I sometimes take some out of the roll, but the flavor of the meat also make the bread taste great. I would ask for a doggie bag, but if you are with friends and they don't I would not either,. or on a date I would not ask for a take out bag even though I can never finish a whole meal. In a Greek restaurant you must save room for Baklava.
