Good dribbling skills such as fakies, crossovers, spider dribble are all great yet takea lot of patience, time and skillt o master. But the best dribbling techniques are those that you make up. Use your imagination to make your own dribble and you can make an outstanding move that can psych anyone out. Keep up with those baller skillz. Whatever you do though make sure that you still stay within the rules of the game such as no double dribble and carry over....unless it is street ball.

just step on the court and dribble for 2 hours. don't even shoot the ball. just keep on dribbling, like your crazy. at the end of the day, you will not be using the tricks that you want to learn. do u see players in the ncaa use tricks? just dribble, basic fundamentals is what coaches want to see. none of that And 1 BS

Personally, I think the more fancy your dribbling gets the easier it is to steal the ball if the defense is really good. (I've had experience on the defense end). Besides your basic crossover, between the legs, and behind the back, their shouldn't be any other "fancy stuff". You should be playing for your team, not for attention for yourself.

My Uncle played college ball, and gave me some great fundamental dribbling drills..which in turn helped me play college basketball. By far the best one is the following...
Close your eyes...dribble 100 times with your off hand..if you lose the ball once..start over..then 100 times with your strong hand...if you lose the ball start over with your OFF hand again...then with your eyes closed crossing it back and forth..guess what..lose the ball, and start over with your off hand (from the beginning and no cheating) The idea is to NEVER cheat, become fundamentally solid...and you will not need tricks to blow by people. Basketball is not about tricks, it is about winning. Master the basics, and you will go much farther than the and1 crap
