Go as an early Madonna with all the ripped-up clothes, black lace and jelly bracelets! Don't forget a big crucifix around your neck and lots of torn-up fabric tied into your hair.

Go as the girl from flashdance, or how about trying to "dress things up" like the ladies from "Dallas".
If you want to do things a bit more dramatic, how about going as the girl in the body bag from A nightmare on Elm Street ... or how about the alien form "aliens" or "predator" that would be a cool costume no matter your gender ... You could always go as Mike Meyers from haloween or Jason (though Jason is more 70's) ... their masks are available at party city and spencer gifts ...
or if you want REALLY scary, how about Nancy Reagan or Margaret Thatcher ... that would scare anyone ;)

If you really want to scare the H E double L out of people, go as a Disco Dude... You know, polyester bell bottoms and the whole bit. OK, so it's not really an eighties thing but he could be a guy in the eighties that never got out of the seventies.

They had a lot of giant wings at the Halloween store yesterday. Wearing giant wings would be so cool for almost any costume. Bat wings, angel wings, devil wings. You could be a demon, angel... Anything is scarier and more fun with giant wings! Zombie with skeleton wings! Ghost with angel wings!

I was Cyndi Lauper one Halloween, but that was in the 80s. Today no one would know who you are. Mabe Mrs. Pacman instead? Everyone still knows who she is.
