You think they don't have names for us too? Virtually every society believes itself superior to others in some way.

Depends!

Now if you look at history and WW2, the power in control of Germany was the Nazi party. So to call a German of the Nazi party a Nazi was not a insult. The insult word for Germans was Kraut.

Yes, we have always vilified our enemies to make them seem more evil. Take a few hours and research the propaganda of our enemies and see what they said about us.

Are we superior? That is a matter of opinion, But by looking at other countries, there is no place I'd rather live then in the Good Ol' USA

WE ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANYBODY BUT BECAUSE OF OUR WAY OF LIFE AND THE FREEDOM THAT WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY WE CAN LABEL OTHER NATIONALITIES AS LONG AS WE JUST TALK ABOUT IT AND AT THE SAME TIME WE CAN BE SUED OR PUNISH FROM DOING SO, THAT IS FREEDOM!! GO TO OTHER PLACE AND TRY TO DO WHAT YOU DO IN THIS COUNTRY AND SEE IF YOU EITHER GOT SHOT OR END INSIDE A JAIL CELL WHERE YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE AN ANIMAL... SO THERE IT IS ITS OUR WAY OF LIFE THAT MAKE US NOT SUPERIOR BUT BETTER THAT OTHER PEOPLE'S WAY OF LIFE, THAT WHY ALSO SOME FUNDAMENTALIST MORONS ARE SO ENVIOUS OF US THAT THEY TRY TO SCARE US WHICH SO FAR THEY ARE DOING A GOOD JOB BUT WE WILL OVERCOME, IT JUST TAKES TIME!!

I don't. I think that it's wrong to call people names based on where they live.
Living in Germany right now, as an American, it annoys me when I hear Americans calling people of other nationalities names, ESPECIALLY calling the Germans Nazis.

we arent any better or worse. they judge just as a lot of americans do on what they hear or told.freedom doesnt make our life superior, but even with everything that is wrong with this country, i would not want to live anywhere else. we do have rights that most countries dont and as a collective people, we try to correct our mistakes in our voting. doesnt always work, but we try.

Actually, this habbit is one identifiable with many cultures the world over, throughout history. There's no need to think we Americans pioneered this habbit. It's within human nature to make derogatory nicknames for your enemies. The trick is to rise above it. Good luck.
