Well, when women gush and act stupid it hardly makes it worthwhile...
I told a girl that I thought she was extremely special... She said, "Oh you say that to all the girls.." Truth is, I don't... I don't compliment women often so that a girl will know that I mean it.
She realized very quickly she goofed because her friends affirmed that I rarely pay any compliments. Needless to say, I didn't bother trying to build any further relationship with her other than friend.
When a guy expresses his feelings, you better hold your nervous giggles of embarrassment. You would be well served to grab him by the hand and say to him, "That's so sweet of you to say." You know I always thought you look rather handsome especially when you wear that one suit, the black one with the white shirt and red tie...
Generally, when you are supportive like that, it encourages him to express his feelings more...
Warm him up and he'll melt on you... If that's what you want..

In addition to the obvious, there are biological differences between men and women. Thank Goodness! I believe it has to do with right brain and left brain thinking. One being more feeling, and the other more rational. My understanding is that scientists have found that the connection between the right and left brain in women is stronger than the connection between the right and left brain in men. That puts women in a better position to verbalize their emotions. Men have emotions, obviously, but do not verbalize them as easily. In my experience, men often express their emotions through action rather than words. Both are valid means of expression. Just a little tidbit, as women we need to experience the emotions then we feel like making love, men experience emotions through making love. So, make love More often, and everybody is happy. ;-)

Guys are afraid to express their "real feelings" because it defeats the purpose for us women to find out what they really feel about us.... If we knew how they really thought about us, we would be asking "Why doesn't my man know how to keep his f-in mouth shut!" I haven't ran into a man who hasn't had a problem with expressing themselves. Ladies, men expressing their feelings fall into the category of "I Hate To Love Him, and I Love to Hate Him."

Because most men are programmed from birth to be "macho" and hide their feelings. Try reading Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus by John Gray. I think its a brilliant book and its very true and sums up most men to a "T".

Most guys are wired that way. We don't waste words. We dislike talking about how we feel with women because they like to tear into your phsyce. Sorry we guys are just not ever going to talk like that.

They aren't equipped to have emotional conversations or multitask as well as woman. There have been studies that show these are difficult areas for men.

maybe because it's a feminine thing and even if a guy wanted to be that way women always make it very clear that they don't want to see a man's feminine side but then complain that we lack these feminine traits. We're so confused...............
