It may not be the soap you use or your deodorant...how about what you wash your clothes in? Some detergents start smelling musky after a while.

If it's a "musty" smell my guess is that it's your clothes that are causing the problem.
Maybe they are not being washed as good as they can,
Do you put them on damp? Or do you leave them lying around damp, to dry? Do you re-wear the same (dirty) clothes? Are they old?
There are two kinds of sweating products. They are not interchangable!
Anti perspirants .. they stop/ reduce sweating.
Deodorant which.. de-odourises you. :) They prevent/stop you smelling.
Sometimes you will get the 2-in-1.
Make sure you are using both, or at the very least a deodorant as the tiniest amount of sweat (or bacteria specifically) can cause you to smell.
If you don't wash often enough, or use a good enough soap this will leave too much bacteria on your skin and you will start to smell . Try using an anti bacterial soap.

I don't think musty is a bad smell. I think some perfume and Cologne smell bad so what you sweat a little your body is suppose to sweat when it smells you shower. that's the way it is ,now if you have the funk you need to go see a doctor or get new deodorant. Because to much deodorant is no good. You get cyst's that can cause cancer.

I think you need to find out if you actually smell "musty" or you just think you do. Do you have a friend or relative you could ask?
If you do actually have an offensive smell even after frequent bathing you should consult a doctor, there are some conditions that cause odors

If you can go to a local health food store, buy something called "chlorophyll". It should come in a bottle. Sweet-tasting & you only take 1 teaspoon daily. It will deodorize your body; clear up bad breath...undo body odors. It's also very healthy for the body.
Try Dial or Irish Spring Deodorant soap in the shower, & try using an anti-perspirant/deodorant instead of just a deodorant.
You'll be smelling decent & your confidence will come back in no time.

Its the deoderant most likely. I HATE degree it stinks awfully bad when I put it on me and since its created to react to your sweat, it actually stinks MORE the hotter it is or the more you move around.
Everyone has different body chemistry and deoderants and perfumes all smell different when they react to this body chemistry.
Change your deoderant and see if it makes you smell better. im betting that is what it is though.

Try a new deodorant. It could be what you're eating. Certain foods seem to ooze out of people's pores.
