They even chew up the toilet paper in the glove compartment. We live in the country. We have always run Nissan vehicles but never had mice get in before. They quit in the summer but started up again. Chewed many holes in a large blanket and last spring pooped all over the seats.
Yesterday we set up moustraps again and caught one in a live trap. Thank you in advance for your replies.

Try moth balls not only in the car but around it, I would try on the outside of the car first so you don't have that lovely aroma in your car. Good Luck KG

The first task is to find out how they are getting in. This is often though the Vent system of the car. most vents draw the air from right beneath the windshield. It's the part that has all the little slits in it. if that's how they are getting in take some steel screen and cover that area up. some 1/2 in sheet metal screws should do the trick. now if they are coming in from a different location do the same thing with the screen. The hard part is locating how they are getting in. Mice can squeeze in to some tiny holes so do not under estimate the location.

there is a plant called Tansy that mice and rats don't like to be around. My friend puts it around his cabin when they have problems and it keeps mice away. You just bunch it up and keep it in the car. you can grow the stuff just about anywhere

Put a cat in the garage. Or even just have one. I've heard that if there is a cat in your house a mouse will not go in it. I'm not positive but thats what I've heard.
