Adding custom ring tones to SLVR L7?

Question

I just got a SLVR L7 and am using Motorola Phone Tools to try to add edited 30 second clips that I made in audacity. It will allow me to add the clip in wav format but not mp3. I can play the wav from my stuff > sounds but they aren't showing up as an option in:

settings > audio > style:vibe then ring detail > calls

what am I doing wrong here? what’s the trick to get this to work??

Convert the wav into a mp3... Good Luck
