The word "God" is often used conversationally by those who do not believe, just as "what the devil" or "son of a *****" which are rude but commonly use expressions. The use of the word "god," is not confined to believers. Most people wish on falling stars or birthday candles, or even wish bones. These do not refer to a god. Praying may be a strange practice for non-believers, but could be done for reasons of superstition.

It's the main reason why we are stupid, we keep on believing and having faith to an idea, principles, the word, and everything that is created by our stupid mind. We are afraid of dying that's all because we don't know how to live fully. The belief and faith to me are all superstition with no reality. Our mind is so small to grasp the unknown. Why are we afraid of dying, why not be afraid of living in this chaotic world of stupidity. Believing in god is totally different from living with the indescribable that you call god. True living is wholly not fragmented like what the world is worshiping. Everybody is knowingly or unknowingly worship selfishness .and this is stupidity.

Of course not! Religion is social conditioning and as such all nations exposed to Christian teaching will have etched the concept of an invisible superman onto our lives. Religion is a fiction that fills the dark corners of life, and contains many deities, across many cultures. As a humanist I have given up talking to myself, if anything calling itself God spoke to me , I would seek medical attention.

I can say god, but it's a matter of habit, not out of any belief. I don't pray, I seldom wish...I focus on making things happen.

Er, which god are you referring to? I'm a big fan of Apollo..he was one snazzy dresser!
Seriously, how could I tell fairy tells and myths to my neice and nephew if I couldn't use the word "god"? I'm afraid I can't cater to the insecurities of people who feel the need to tell others how they should be living their lives. I'll make no anonymous promise to some stranger on the internet, sorry.
Have a nice day!

God should be respected, not analyzed or debated upon.
People who do not believe in God will soon do when they are in a hospital bed about to die from a disease.
