I started taking estrostep a month ago and thought I was losing my mind. I was completely irrational, my boyfriend almost broke up with me, and I was snapping at everyone. I would cry for no reason also. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, I was on Depo injection and it turned me into a raging lunatic and I gained 20lbs. I got off it, my husband had a vasectomy ( we had 2 children already) I am back to normal now and dropped that 20lbs without trying.

Yes, I've had that happen to me by taking estrostep, actually.
The link I gave below gives other side effects from that birth control.
Although, I think that's normal for birth control to give you mood swings like that because of the hormones in the birth control.

YES. I would turn into phycho girlfriend, and in addition I would get depressed, gain weight and loose my sex drive. I've tried many different brands of birth control and they all had the same affect. I use the IUD now, the copper one without the hormones.
Just explain to your BF its the hormones and not you. Hopefully he'll be understanding.

YES! The crying this is totally familiar! You could either try switching birth control, or just wait for it to settle down in two or three months (it did for me)
