From an educational standpoint, evaluate your training and expertise. What are you really interested in? Do you have "stick-to-it-ivness" and real desire to do this thing for a long term? Are you willing to study and work to fill in the gaps to make you an expert? If so, seek direction there.
If from a religious standpoint, pray for guidance and be willing to accept the answer "no." God has a plan for all of us and if you pray for His will to be done with your life then he will guide you.
Love and prayers for your life and soul.

Well, it is telling you there is a purpose. There is a book out "The Pupose Driven Life", can't remember who it is by, but it is a spiritual type of book, maybe you could get it. We all have a purpose, and God is telling you, that you do too. Once you expose yourself to society, in that, you become more active in your church, if you have one, volunteer, and just get out where there are people. Also, in Jr. College, there are many courses, and they also will give you a little test asking questions as to what you like and they put you into a category of several different types of positions that you could chose from. If you are older, you have a wealth of information that you can share. Pray and ask God to give you a direction, but remember when it comes, to acknowledge where it is coming from and act upon it, you will know as you go along if that is the right one. When you have the Holy Spirit in your heart, you are not alone. You are feeling a void, but it does not have to be that way. Just remember of all the ones that love you, and that if for some reason, you cannot
give to them, there are plenty of others you can. You meet them everywhere, at the car wash, at the groc. store, at church, at the place you eat, they are everywhere, people in need. Good luck. You were given this life, not by accident, it was given to you because you are special, never say you are useless. Christ died on the cross for you, and in turn, go out and do something for him. You will never feel alone again.

You are living this life as well as many others in the past for 1 reason only and that is to find out who you are. Sit back in your seat for a moment and ponder all the wonderful idiosyncrasies in this world as if you were just plopped here from an alien planet de-void of all of the wonders of this world. Think of it as experiencing all this wonder for the first time. Perhaps this will rejuvenate you and give you perspective. Don't stress out so much about obtaining goals. Whether you become the leader of the free world or you sit on a rock and look down valley the rest of your life, it doesn't matter. Just enjoy the gift of this life.

Here is a clue, what is it that makes you angry? overjoyed? tremendously sad? etc. What are you passionate about? Do you relate better to lots of people or do your best work in private? What did you want to be when you were five? Do you like a challenge or rather keep things low keyed. Do you like to be the head or part of a support system.
Go to your community college and ask to take some tests to see what sorts of career choices match with your personality.

this queston, i cannot answer in 'thirty words or less' but speaking from my own expierence it may take a long time. you are not 'usless' this is a common mistake the very young and very old make. i assume you are young, now don,t use up your time in a frantic search for instant answers. wait look around you and spend time alone, list your assets and deficincies, then continue within this framework. and always remember that no one is usless. not if you dig ditches or if you are a brain surgeon. you can be useful. everyone who wants to can. good luck and God bless!

If you have a voice telling you that you can then you know that its in you.. you just have to pursue it.. I have found that going to college will guide you more towards what you really want to do. Or just really think about something that you would like to do, that you are able to do now, start off that way.. then eventually you will know what you really want.

If you're Christian, I would highly recommend checking out various ministry opportunities. You may well have a calling to something you've not yet identified. Look over whatever ministry opportunities your church and/or other Christian groups in your area offer, and pray over each one. See what God has in store for you.
