While I do not have an adolecent daughter I am a teacher of 12/13 and 14/15 year olds. I worry about THEM! As long as you have defined rules that are neither too strict or too lax, you should be ok. The people who always seem to have trouble are those who have extreames The ones who either have a 6pm curfew or the ones who do not give a curfew at all.
Make sure you talk to your daughter candidly about your worries. Make sure that she knows that you are not trying to ruin fun, but to make sure that she is safe today so that she can have fun another day too!

I do not have an adolescent daughter yet, but I will in about 16yrs. We have discussed that in great detail, as my husband is convinced we are having a girl. He is a cop and when that situation arises, he says he will be having a poker party with his cop friends the same night the boyfriend comes to pick her up. He says when the boy shows up to pick up his daughter and sees a bunch a fully armed officers at the house, he will be to scared to want to date her. For my daughters sake, I hope we have a boy.

I'm still in the process of making a child, but I know that when I was dating, my parents were terrified. There were so many rules and such. I am grateful for them though. I worry when my little sister who is 17 goes out with her bf. My mom lets her go to Norway with him and he lives in her house. I think that's weird, but it worries me.

I don't mind if you worry. But still you should trust her to be able to do the right thing for herself.
