my daughter is marrying a soldier in florida next month ,does anyone no what life will be like for her ,and did anyone get married in florida ,what was it like

Not quite sure I understand what youre asking but getting married here in Florida is absolutely no different then getting married anywhere else. Marrying a soldier means she going to live a military style married life with possible multi moves and possible deployment to any where in the world. But the fact is if they really love each other then none of this really matters. Its upto them where they get married and how they live their lives. No one is forcing them into this so they made the choice of their own free will and you should be happy and proud of them instead of questioning your daughters judgement

im married to a squaddie although we no longer live together. We are starting to work things out. I think it depends on a lot of things. If you can drive and have some sort of independance thats a good thing, if you mix well because you are constantly meeting new people, if you dont mind dropping all your plans at a minutes notice because the army has decided your husband is going on exercise for 3 weeks.....in canada. if you could cope with these things then you have a chance. He is comitted to the army first his wife second, thats how the army think.

Why don't you pray that she is happy and the person she married respect her
you should not worried about what other people feel that life will be like
just tell her that you will be there is she ever need you
and your door is always open to welcome back
and get married in Florida is the same as getting married anywhere

I lived in florida for 8 years... I have even considered going back. Solely because the cost of living there is sooooo cheep.

worse thing that could happen is the divorce but isnt that what everyone worries about hes a human being after all my dad was in the army my cousin is in the army and both adore their families

well she could marry a bouncer, DJ, dole boy, a bum, druggie, we all need someone and if he makes her happy why not. Just keep a shoulder free if she ever needs it.
