It is possible that your lesbian friend was either bisexual or bicurious.
Bisexual women sometimes identify as lesbian in order to gain acceptance from the lesbian community; as some lesbians are hostile towards bisexual women - accusing them of "sleeping with the enemy" or "trying to hang on to heterosexual privileges"
Bicurious isn't really an orientation in its own right as it refers to a curiosity. Your friend may have tried being "straight" to see what it was like, didn't like it, and "come back" to being "gay". Her orientation never really changed in this type of situation.

Sexual Orientation is being attracted to a intercourse. maximum women are curious, yet once you're intrigued or continually thinking approximately it, or having deep emotions in direction of it then specific you're attracted to it. It took me an prolonged time to settle for that i become bisexual, i've got continually dated men yet I appeared at women in a fashion that i could look at men. Seeing eye-catching women and often speaking to them made me sense very reliable. that is okay while you're, settle for your self and you'd be satisfied (:

People switch teams all the time.
This is something you have to realize.
She can stay straight.
She can go back to being a lesbian.
Just as YOU can very well turn gay anytime!

sexual orientation is a spectrum. just because she's in love with you does not mean she doesn't love women or will never love another woman. it means that right now, YOU'RE the PERSON she wants, and it doesn't matter what gender you are.
we all think it is set in stone, but psychologists say it isn't. i've fallen for girls before, but i'm generally very into guys. i'd say i'm straight because i've never had sex with a girl, but that doesn't mean i haven't wanted to.

You should have let nature take its course. If her natural body was making her straight, then so be it.
If you gave birth to straight children would you try and make them gay if they had straight behaviour? Human nature should be left alone to choose for themselves.

I think you're a sexist.....A lesbian cannot "turn" straight. Either she's lying now, or she was never a lesbian to begin with.
