Yes, I am still talking about crime and race. The staticstis out there, are they really reliable? Who does the studies? Can these studies be fudged to make black men especially look bad? I mean, who says that there isn't a neutral party doing these studies? Also, is racism still going on in the crime category? Are black people more likely to be caught commiting crimes?

I didn't say anything about special treatment. I'm asking if black people are more likely to get caught commiting crimes. I'm not saying that they are innocent.

Are black people still oppressed to the point that they are put into situations where it's more necessary or likely to commit a crime?

Sorry to answer your question with a question, but I think oppression of minorities (and women!) is more prevalent in the 21st century than we'd like to believe.

It's not a conspiracy, it's a fact that black men commit more crimes than any other group, race or gender. I believe that minorities (particularly blacks) are given more liberties, advantages and "outs" these days, now more than ever, and so if the crime statistics are skewed, then it probably means that there are MORE crimes being commited by blacks than are caught, detected or reported (in the interest of political correctness or "racial profiling," which is also a load of garbage). It doesn't have anything to do with racism (which is the word du jour in society these days; so much easier to whine and cry "racism" than to own up to the truth of the matter). Everyone should be accountable for his or her own actions. Just 'cause a guy is black doesn't mean he didn't commit the crime or isn't guilty or isn't liable to account for his actions. We all have a responsibility to behave as civil, law-abiding people, and when we do not, we should equally be jailed and/or punished for it. Blacks do not deserve special treatment or kid-glove treatment any more than anyone else.

One can see quite clearly that an African-american convicted of the same crime as a caucasian is much more likely to spend time locked up. A caucasian who IS sent up the river to the big house is more likely to be paroled before an African-american.

When I'm getting cash out of the ATM in the middle of the night, I'm especially worried about the Media and the Man sneaking up and robbing me. Thanks, Chris Rock. I buy all your albums just to prove that there is a big, bad conspiracy going on that's going to take all your money away from you.

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racism or racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.

look at the prisons, every time I see a prison on the tv at least 80% of the inmates are minorities. I guess trying to make the easy money is what does it.
