I can always find good gifts for females, but males are difficult for me to buy gifts for - even if I know them fairly well.

I can never seem to find the perfect gift for a man. Oh, I should also mention that he is currently in Germany, and I won't be there with him until right before the holidays.

Thankfully, some of your answers did help.

To make matters worse on this subject, his birthday is just four days after Christmas, so I have to find TWO gifts. But I came up with an idea....

Since money was no object, I did some investigating, and found out that PlayStation 3 is coming out on November 17th - five days before I leave to go to Germany, myself. But what good is a game system when you have no games, right?

So for Christmas, I'm going to get him a $100 Best Buy gift card. He can order the stuff online, and have it shipped directly to his address in Germany. And it won't look suspicious, or give any clues as to what he'll get for his birthday. I just have to be sure to keep him occupied for four days, so he won't spend it on the wrong things...

So for his birthday, just four days later, he'll get a PlayStation 3. By already having the gift card, he'll have the means to get whatever game he wants.

What do you all think about it?

Actually males are easier than you think. In fact males are so easy that women too often overthink what to get them. The key is functional over sentimental. See if a man got a woman a $100 to a store or something she would probably act all polite, but be scornfull that it was impersonal. If you got a guy a gift card to his favorite store he'd probably say "Cool, I'm glad she didn't try to guess what I wanted she'd probably F it up anyway."

Also guys don't play games when it comes to hints. If a man ever says, "Man, I wish I had a circular saw" He means that he wants a circular saw.

Don't make anything either unless of course it can be eaten or used within a season.

I've gotten a couple of presents already (I know, I'm pretty early).

- Shaving cream from Crabtree & Evelyn (it's a bit nicer than Gillette) for the guys I really have no clue about.
- Touque from Tristan & America (May only apply to Canadian guys, though).
- A really nice leather passport holder from Danier Leather with "Canada" written on the front for a recipient who's traveled a fair bit.

Hope this helps!

Find out his favorite clothes and give him gift cards to buy what "he" wants. Guys like to shop - not window shop! Find out his interests and see if there is anything you might buy that would fill the need.

As a instructor myself, any present it quite is considerate is favored. a image physique could be constructive, yet given which you pronounced he's under pressure you may make a "kin pastime evening" present. purchase him a board pastime that he ought to play w/his kin and maybe throw in some selfmade cookies or yet another manage.

FOOD!!!! Make him a big goody basket and throw in a couple of DVD's.......he'll love it!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest, it always bugged me that my husband would prefer the goodies he got to whatever I got him, but you know what they say.....The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
