I'm curing conformity.
It's a drain on the progress of society. Many are scared to do things that aren't considered "normal" and hold themselves back without unleashing their full potential

Type 1 diabetis
It took my mother at 47 and my son is now diabetic.
Cancer has taken a few in my family but it was remission or die thats it, but diabetis effects the daily routine of every one inflicted with this autoimmune disorder (it is not a disease)
Imageing injecting up to four needles a day, no freedom on what you eat, sugar test, my son already had a hypoglycemic seizure and he was 11 at the time. It effects the life of people over many many years other deseases can kill faster. Not to sound creul but when you pull the plug on a 47 year old woman for DKA (diabetis term) and watch your son inject insuline everyday for the rest of his life, is a daily pain and discomfort. not just the future effects it has too for there will be likely no cure for it is an autoimmune disorder, like cancer is genetic in all humans unless we can change our gnomes then we change the human race to a different species.
But I also believe it is an individual test of the individual who gets the illnesses, be nice to have a cure for everything, but then how much would we take care of our health then if there was a cure for everything, just a thought.

I would love to find the cure for Lupus. It's such a complex disease. If there was a cure, maybe my mother would have lived a bit longer. Finding a cure would allow me to prevent other families from experiencing similar pain and anguish.

Cancer So that so many people don't have to Live in a half lucid, but still painful state of life. I seen a cancer patient slowly die nothing they could do to stop the pain he hurt all the time and he wasn't all there because he was all drugged up to take the edge off of the pain.

i'm going to go with mental retardation.
most ppl would say cancer or aids, but there are instances in both of those where the person causes the disease themselves, by smoking, using drug needles, etc (not always, and a lot of ppl do nothing to cause it and can still have them). but being born with a mental handicap is something that nobody can control. its not anyone's fault that their parents may have had a health problem, or used drugs, etc. its not anyone's fault that they're born that way, and i always feel bad when i see someone get treated differently because of how they're born. it makes me realize how much i take my daily life for granted.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/N6U9X
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.
