In New York the going rate for a head pro at a country club is about 80 per hour for a private outside and 120 indoors. I am only familiar with Westchester and the City though. I hit outside today and froze my tail off initially , but broke a sweat and was okay after about 15 minutes. The cold is not so bad , it is the wind. You should play if you can , it is a timing sport so that when you take extended layoffs it takes a while to get back to where you were which is frustrating. Tennis is such a great sport to keep playing , you can play your whole life. You lose a few steps when you are older , but besides that it is pretty low impact on your body .
