like how long will they stay the same before they deterirate?

Embalming procedures are much, much different than they were when Egyptians were embalming. Modern embalming is nothing like what the Egyptians did. There are many factors that affect the embalming process and the length of preservation, such as the fluid, the embalmer, how well their body took the fluid, any medication that they were on that may affect the fluid, the casket, the vault, the soil, and many, many more factors. It is impossible to say how long someone will last due to the list of things that affect the process. I have disinterred someone that had been dead for 70 years and they actually had another visitation for him, he was perfect, and I've also disinterred someone who had been dead for 3 months and was in advanced stages of decomposition. I apologize, but there is no actual answer to your question, there are just too many factors in the equation! Take care!

If the ground stay's dry where the casket is located it could stay preserved for hundreds of years.
