It is not their fault if they don't believe in God, Many people just never heard of him because maybe in the way he was raised.
or it could be that their life has been so messed up that they don't want to believe that their is such a being. All i can say is they are in for a rude awakening when it's time to meet their creator. At one point in their life time they will hear about him and they will have to make a decision to accept him, before it's to late. No one will have an excuse! As Christians we need to just pray for these people.

If you have studied science, you will understand that facts are not so until proven. Knowing this and having been trained to this, why should I be expected to accept a God without proof, when I will not accept any other things without it? It is a very comforting idea that there might be an almighty`thing`, that made all and looks after all. However we know that Earth came into being through geological and chemical explosions and reactions, and we know it did not happen in 7 days. I do not need to believe in a God to be a good person, which I hope I am. If God existed and showed himself to me,I would willingly apologise and walk beside him.

God is a concept, not something you can see, feel, or touch. You can't prove that there is a god, so many people feel that this is proof there isn't. They have come up with reasonable (according to their minds) ways with proof for things to have come into being. Just as some people cannot imagine a world where God doesnt exist, some people cannot imagine a world with a god. Do you beleive in aliens??? Some people do, and feel that there is proof for them, and would quite honestly have trouble understanding why others think it is impossible. It's all a mindset, how we perceive the world around us.

because they question everything, believing in God is a matter of faith. you just have to believe in it.

sooner or later in their life, a majority of all these atheist will believe in God. Because of their inquisitive nature, they will come to the question of of their ultimate existence. Being born into this world and dying later at an old age would then be pointless, for you might as well have been born a rabbit, at least you wont have an intelligent mind to question your existence.

A chair has a carpenter as its creator, a pen is made by someone somewhere, even the Big bang of the universe should be caused by something. Who then ultimately created/started it all?

Only an omnipotent and all powerful God could answer these questions.

I feel that people use god as a crutch. People have a hard time accepting the random goods and bads of life simply as chance, so they like to add meaning to it. It is documented that most religions were created only as a means to controll large groups of people. It is also somewhat documented that most creature have evolved, by in large through natural selection, into what they are now. I do not believe in god, or a creator, but I do beleive in many Principals of many religions. Essentially be nice, dont lie, cheat or steal. Which are the main "no-no's" of a lot of religions, which makes sense as they were created by governments in an effort to matain order in controll over the people in their country.

Personally, when I left the Roman Catholic Church at the end of high school, it was a relief.

There is too much in life that religion strangles with it's oppressive philosophies. If there was a GOD, then I don't think he would have all these religions, and such restraints on living. Living the "Golden Rule" seems like enough religion and GOD for me.

Cause there are so many religion with diffrent views of God that atheists and agnostics think god is made up.

And if God is really omnibenevolent and will keep his promise to His people, why are there terrorist attacks and such today?

These may be some of the reasons atheists are athiests.

Because religion and the belief in God or various gods has caused more wars, suffering and death in human history than almost anything else you can think of. I'll take tolerance over belief in God any day - - - - and I'm not necessarily even an atheist.

Because most religions stress faith, not understanding.
Most Religious Institutions also fail to deliver wisdom effectively. If they did, the world would be a better place.

To put it in a different way, the religious officials do that have the answers that they are looking for. Or at least they are not able to communicate it in a way that the seeker understands.

Here are several reasons that I believe they don't. I personally fully believe in God because I have faith.

1. They have lost their faith.
2. It is easy to deny something that you don't see physically.
3. It is easier to live with sin than without.
