Soccer is nor a "port," a "sprot," or a "sport." I can understand why you like it--because you can't use your hands.

LIKE SPORT

I use to "make fun of" soccer, I was lame... I have come to really enjoy kicking the ball around. It is good exercise and it is easy fun to play.

I played lacrosse a little bit and it was fun, similar to soccer in a sense perhaps

I do not think so, beacuse it is like stealing it from other places, things like football and baseball are considered an "American" sport, but soccer isn't.
