Yes, I recovered it, I had to because my little one threw the whole make-up bag in the toilet. I threw everything else away, I was just wondering about the mascara. Thanks for the remarks, I'll throw it away!

Why take the risk - and boiling it would ruin it anyway....

If the toilet wasn't full of waste, it's probably fine! You can boil it, but the wax in the mascara might separate. I'd drop it in a cup of water and hydrogen peroxide. If the peroxide gets in the mascara, then you know it's not safe to use. If it remains sealed, then all of the germs will be off the outside, and you'll know that nothing got into it. I'm not germ phobic though. There's more germs in dirt outside on the ground than in a clean toilet bowl. In fact, toilets tend to be cleaner than kitchens by way of how many gazillions of bacteria they harbor.

Why would you boil it? Are you thinking that the toilet water it fell into is that bad? The water is the toilet is CLEAN. sheesh. Everytime you flush, it replaces the water with MORE clean water. Besides, why would you take the time to type this question unless the object is STILL in the toilet, or you fished it out and its sitting on your dresser wrapped in a piece of toilet paper, and you walked to your computer to ask the world if you can use something from your toilet?

well these r some choses u have-
1 through it out and buy more(it is pretty cheap)
2 wipe the outside with a cleaner ( a powerfull one)
just watever u do DONT boil it it would devently melt amd explode ( trust me ik)

Boiling the mascara would ruin it anyway. Just buy a new tube. What sucks is if that was a new one. lol

This can be classified as Hygienic will you agree! Not advisable to keep it after picking up from the toilet flush.

Well...I personally wouldn't do it...because even if you did boil it, it might infect your eye...and you really don't want that. I mean, it's the TOILET. Not the best place for your mascara to fall. =) Sorry!

If the mascara is closed, just wipe the outside with a tissue and some alcohol.

It's actually more healthy to eat off a toilet seat than the kitchen table, but yeah, just use it, as long as you don't eat it.
