You may thinking of the murder of her boyfriend, Johnny Stompanato, who was killed by her daughter, Cheryl. The murder was found to justifiable homicide by the coroner's office and by Lana Turner.

As other answers said it had to do with the daughter stabbing him. The controversy however had to do with that alot of people think that the daughter really didn't do it that it was Lana herself, but because the daughter was under-aged she would get less time and a better chance of getting off. There were alot of stars in that era that had controversy around them. Check out 2 books Hollywood Babylon 1 and 2.

It was the death of her mob lover...I truely believe Lana Turner stabbed him to death and had the daughter take the rap for it because of her young age..Lana was not a good person, and she married men like most people change their socks.

no she died of cancer there was a scandal with the daugther and lana boyfriend johnny but you maybe think of jean harlow who died quite yung because her mother reject medical attention or either grace kelly who died in car crash and there was report her daugther was driving other than that the only mysterious death was marylin monroe
