My 89 yr old neighbor has one of those globes that has magnetic dolphins swimming around and the bulb has burned out. I have taken him everywhere and I can't find a bulb. It is a 12v5w bulb. Does anyone know where I can find this bulb?

Howdy dbpma,
Most unusual name! I need a little more info. 12v and 5 watts. Is that 12 volts DC, or 12 volts AC? Lets see... P=I x E ;so I =P / E; and that means I (current) is .42 amps. The lamp should have a pretty good lamp cord for that current.
Mainly, is it 12v AC or DC, and what type of base does it have? They are usually screw base or bayonet base, or a wedge base.
Strangely enough, I'm looking at a catalog and I see bulb rated exactly where you need it. 12 v and .42 amps! It doesn't say AC or DC though. They are 51 cents apiece though.
Hpoe this helps...contact me if you wish.
Butch

I would recommend that you go to a lighting store. There are a few bulbs at my house, that I can only get replacements for at the local lighting store. They can certainly special order any that they don't have in stock.

I would take it to a store that only sells bulbs and light accessories. Take the burned out one to them so they know exactly what you need.
