. . I think you are asking which calender do they use. It is pretty well accepted today to use the Christan Calender around the world, no matter what religion a country observers So those newspapers would have the same date as our papers. There is several calenders one could use such as the Chinese calender, the Jewish calender or the Muslim calender. Each calender usually started at a significant date of that faith such as a birth, like the birth of Jesus. The Jewish calender would have the year around 4,500 because of the birth of Moses. They use only one calender, which is the Christan calender, for the sake of uniformity. That way everyone is on the same time.
