I hear great things about Joe T Garcia's. Rockfish is pretty good. I like the Spaghetti Warehouse in the Stockyards, too.

Spirals Diner is great - if your a vegatarian (or just want a change of pace). Another fun mom and pop restraunt is King Tut's (Mediterainan food)

My husband and I also love Blue Mesa (Mexican food - great chips) and one can never go wrong with a treat from Curly's (sweet custard - ice cream)

I live in northwest Houston. I would not want to live in Dallas or Fort Worth. It is very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Both extremes.
