no star trek voyager is i mean a fantastic looking woman in charge oohh im weak at the knees just thinking bout kathryn janeway sorry im a bit under the weather my dad died last night so im not firing on all cylinders whats the one with the two brothers sci fi ahh supernatural thats a brilliant series dont you agree cant wait for the next one oh and im not lying dad passed away at 11.35 pm thursday night its not hit home yet as you can guess

Man, that's a good question. I see "Alien" in the list, but I think the sequel, "Aliens" -- is better. Then again, I might call "Aliens" the best action movie ever, too. Not sure if it's sci-fi or action. Pure sci-fi gems: + 2001 Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick) + Blade Runner (??) + Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Spielberg) + Planet of the Apes [the original] (??) Sci-Fi / Action: + Anything by James Cameron (The Abyss, Terminator, Aliens, Terminator 2) + Star Wars Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back + The Matrix + The Thing

Up until about series 4 it was fantastic. Series 4 was rushed 'cause they didn't think they'd get funding for Series 5, and when they did they had to write a new story arc for it. There were I think 3 Bab5 movies as well, but the quality of those was pretty variable.
Sadly they followed up with the execrable Crusade.
Firefly is way up on the best sci-fi series ever list ( and did have only 12 episodes so didn't get time to screw it up).

Babylon 5 was a great series and Crusade would have been had they given it time to grow. Actually , there were some made for tv movies about Babylon 5 called B5: A Call to Arms, B5: In the Beginning, B5: Third Space and the last one was B5: Legend of the Rangers
