supposing you just got a bunch of images, you could set up a slideshow with javascript. There is tons of free scripts out there, try and have a look at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/index.html or
http://hotscripts.com/JavaScript/Scripts_and_Programs/Image_Effects/Slide_Shows/index.html
You could also find a flash slideshow where the images is loaded via an XML file. Flash often handles image transitions a little better than Javascript imo :-)

You need to write an array to store the picture paths in it in whatever language you are using. It is pertty straight forward and then loop through them. You need to set the time as well.

something like this might answer your question:

var SlideShowSpeed = 3000;

pics = new array();
pics[0] = "....//PATH to picture or image";
..........
Loop For(i =0; i < pics; i++)
.................

Good Luck!
