Let your daughter do what nature intends her to do. May daughter was two months when she wanted to stand. She would stand holding onto the table giggling her little head off. Make sure you watch her as she wont be overly stable.
It's natural development for a child to want to stand then walk, so don't stop her doing what her instincts tell her. As for the bow leg thing, only genetics governs that, it's a really stupid myth.
Relax and enjoy your daughter reaching her milestones, it's such a beautiful time watching your child develop...

My daughter at 10 years old, is standing tall and strong w/ lovely gams - she also was always standing as an infant. She used to do sit ups too - at 6 mos she honestly had a little 6 pack - I think it was because she was so nosy and curious - had to see it all. We didn't promote it, but she did it just the same and she's fine now. Now she has a little round belly - no more 6 pack.

I'm not sure what the correct answer is, but my son was the same way. Always wanted to be standing. We'd let him, but not force him. You can't really force them, but I remember my father criticizing, saying "Oh don't do that with him, that's a sin"
Silly silly man.
But, I think that is just a sign that they want to be busy and on the go. My son was pulling himself up and walking around furniture at seven months. Walking and running on his own at nine months. It may just be a sign that she'll be on the go before you know :)
Good luck with this!
And as for the bow-legged..they are what they are at birth. I'll tell you how to check for bow-leggedness..put your baby's feet and ankles together. Keep her legs straight. If her knees are touching, she's not bow legged...if her knees are apart..then she is. It's that simple :)

Babies love to stand, but do NOT let a 2-month-old support her own weight! Her bones are not strong enough yet, and YES, it can make her bow-legged.. or worse.
She will pull up and stand on her own when she is ready, at closer to 9-10 months.

I have a 5 month old and she is constantly standing up in our laps (with us holding her obviously). If you try and treat her like a baby she screems. Give it a couple more months before you let her put weight on those little legs.

All babies are different; if yours wants to stand, let her. Ours REFUSED to stand until she over a year, ended up getting physical therapy, so I'm jealous.
