Now bush wants to tell us AMERICANS what we can and CANNOT do online? Telling us we cant spend a few bucks online gambling ? Come on people these republicans just cant get enough. Their hate for our freedom fuels their ambitions to make America a right wing extremist fundameltalist Christian country.
Thank god less than 30 days away and democrats will save America and save our freedoms. This republican regime is getting out of hand.
Flip floppers? Absolutely. First they say they want small governemnt then they enact laws that butt into every aspect of American lives, and of course the patriot act. National ID card. My god are you Republicans that brainwashed? You are supporting a failed party that couldnt even protect America from terrorists on 9/11 and now thanks to them a nuclear N Korea.

I completely agree; so much for the party of small government. Their idea of small government is no social programs to help people , but huge amounts spent on spying on American citizens.They want to spend trillions on an unjustified and unpopular war, while North Korea gets the bomb. What will Bush do about North Korea, I can tell you, nothing! Why? Because all of our troops are in Iraq. So in this case there is no military option. Not that it would be wise to invade a country with nuclear weapons, however, Bush has waited too long for a military option.

First of all, it's not a ban on online gambling. It's not allowing banks to settle debts from gambling sites. So poeple can't use their credit cards. Not the same thing. As for this being against small government, you're right about that. I don't think President Bush has done anything to shrink the size of the government; it's gotten larger, but Republicans aren't the party of small government anymore. Republicans want big government and democrats want huge government.

Seriously! I couldn't believe that Repubs were backing the anti-gambling will, then was even more upset that Boxer was behind it too! Come on, Click a Mouse and Lose your House! That is the most ridiculous slippery slope logic I have ever heard. Some people who backed the bill even owned stock in on-line gaming website. It is a great way to practice, it's safer than going to a card club and where else can people play for a $1 buy-in? Geez!

It's odd this- - Clinton knew because the CIA knew so the FBI had to know because the CIA is outlawed in the USA. - So, where were the FBI agents when the terrorists entered and began training to fly. -Bush knew because Clinton knew and the FBI still knew. Bush knew because the CIA knew but the CIA can't operate in the USA. -Bush went on vacation with his bud and financier Osama bin Laden. We all know this because Osama's plane was the only one to leave the country after the 9/11 shut down. -Clinton had no use for Osama when he was offered his head. The only people likely to suspect Osama would have been the CIA and the Bush family. -So # 1 plane takes off and goes right off its flight plan but nobody seems to notice until it strikes one of the Twin Towers. -So #2 plane takes off and goes the wrong way and nobody seems to notice until it strikes the other Twin Tower. -So #3 plane takes off and (you know) goes the wrong way and nobody seems to notice until it crashes into the Pentagon and the Pentagon claims four years it had no video until it released 4 frames. The Pentagon can always be guaranteed to lie. -So #4 plane takes off and I'm not sure if it went the wrong way but some passengers fight the terrorists and the plane crashes. -Bush claims he saw the first plane crash into the WTC but he was trying to read an upside down Grade 2 book at the time. -All the terrorists, except one are Saudis so Bush decides to attack Iraq and then Afghanistan. Does this make any sense to you? If it were a fiction and made into a movie no one would believe it!

Let me get this straight: N Korea has been waving their nukes in our faces for the past, what, 4 years or so? And we've been screwing around looking for nukes in Iraq and Iran. Did anyone ever find any nukes or anything in Iraq? Not to mention whatever the hell we're doing over in Afganistan. What exactly are we doing over in Afganistan again? I keep forgetting. And now the government says that we can't gamble online because it will.......cause something really bad to happen....?
Not that I'm complaining or anything. Just thought I'd ask.......

It's all about money, they get big donations from American casino operators. Those guys don't want us spending our money on foreign gaming sites. They really don't care how many families gambling destroys, if they did they wouldn't have included the exception for off track betting. People don't realize how Marxist the reboobs actually are, they actually have No Marxist on some of their own websites, when they are the biggest proponents of Marxism. It's all about the money!!!!

i get the feeling its a financial decision. alot of the gambled money is going out of the USA, instead of into American run casino's.this sudden(its really only happened in the last few years) change must have been felt in some very big pockets.If it was on moral grounds something would be done that hit the American owned casino's (which incidentally are springing up around the world).

Gambling is a regressive tax. It hits those who can least afford it the hardest. Through losing scratchoffs and worthless lotto numbers, Bubba Sixpack pays more tax than his uptown counterpart, who knows getting ahead is a matter of education and planning, not blind luck.
I am actually surprised if Bush really IS against a regressive tax on the poor. He is usually only for the ultrawealthy. I am going to check your facts, see if you're lying.

Stop lying! The Republicans are for freedom. The freedom to tap phones without a warrant. The freedom to torture detainees and deny them any legal process whatsoever. The freedom to illegally gather records of all Americans' phone calls. The freedom to ban abortions. The freedom to ban stem cell research. The freedom to ban flag burning.
