it isnt that hard. just make sure your hands are very clean and dry. dont use tussues because those little fibers get on you hand then in you eye and HURT
also, make sure you take it out very carefully. many a time have i torn my contact a tiny bit before i put it in my eye and it hurts, but bear with me, it will be okay. also you SHOULD NOT RUB YOUR EYE if you do the contact may break and slide off the pupil. The rumor that you contact can slide behind you eye, inside your head is a LIE. however, when they break in you eye, they can slide to the corner. this is fine, it wont hurt, it will just be kindof annoying. if you cant see it or cant get it out dont worry. it eventually cmes off its self. ive been sitting in class before, and felt something under my eye and it was the contact i had broken the night before :)
anyway, i got contacts for my 10th birthday, that was a very long time ago, and im doing fine. it only takes me 1 minute to put both of them in, the first time took me about 20. GOOD LUCK

The optometrist's assistant had a really hard time putting in my contacts. It look her like 60 times in just the right eye! She claimed it was because I have a natural curl to my eyes. She kept apologizing though. I definately cried a river by the time I lest the office! But the first time I did it myself was easier because they were my hands and my eyes. I'd say it took about 15 minutes for both eyes. Don't fret, you'll gain some techniques after you do it for a couple weeks that will make it swift and easy!

OMG I wanted to just rip them up... I'd try to put them in and they just wouldn't wanna go in. Well I think it took at least 5 mintues for each eye but now I have the 'Night and Day' contacts where you can leave them in for about a whole month without taking them out, and after a month you just put new ones in.

instead of just trying to pull your lower lid down like the eye dr's nurse shows you, put your non dominant hand behind your head and hold your upper lid open, it will make it alot easier. I closed my eye lid everytime I got the contact close the first 1000 times I tried and I called my mom who has worn contacts for years and she told me about the upper lid and it worked the first time I tried it. Good luck!

The first time I tried to put in my contacts, it took me almost an hour. And it was only the one for my left eye. Haha. I was so frustrated... Now it only takes me 30 seconds to put them both on. =)
Good luck!

When I tried them at the eye doctor, I spent like 60 minutes, and gave up. I never got them in. But hen I took one pair home, and it took me 30 minutes. But the tricky part for me was getting them out! I seriously spent 2 hours trying to get them out. I pinched my eyeball trying to get it out, so I had to go back to the eye doctor to get it checked out. I was fine, but I never used contacts again. So, I'm back to glasses, which sucks. Good luck with yours!!! :-)

Well, I have a funny story about that. The first day i tried to put my contacts on was not good!!! I thought i got them i just fine. All day they didnt seem to help me see very good though. then that nite when i tried to take them i couldnt seem to get them out of my eyes. So my parents made me sit in a chair while one held my eye open and the other tried to pull them out. It hurt, they drove me to my aunts house because she works at eye doctor and knows about this stuff, She looked at my eyes with flash light and said they werent in!!!!!!! I found them in my bathroom on the floor all dried up so i thought i had them on but i didnt all day!!!!! The second day i got them on perfectly fast and made sure they were really in and then it was always easy and fast.

Quite awhile. It just takes practice. Now I'm an old pro and it only takes a couple seconds.
