I always assumed that it comes(no pun intended) from oral sex being exchanged for drugs, i.e. Blow.
the woman(or man for that matter) performs a service, a job if you will, for Blow, hence you get Bl*wj*b

The name goes back a few hundred years, It used to be 2 acts
first the women would blow off as much as possible in the mans face, then the women would do some sucking which was nicknamed a job, that's why it was called a ********.
