Because Brian is a dog and only him and other babies or lil kids can understand Stewie. No other people/grown ups can understand him. It is perty funny though, i never thought of that....

i'd say its because brian is a dog... like a living stuffed animal.
and it just wouldn't be funny if lois understood that stewie was constantly trying to kill her.

Ah, you have to watch the show more. Everyone can understand stewie;it's evident in their body movements etc. when he says something.

Animals and kids can communicate with eachother...they are both in tune with different wavelengths we cant pick up....haha...no clue!
