I have two older Mac tower computers

1) G3 with functioning CD drive

2) G4 with broken CD drive

Naturally the G4 is a lot faster but my son likes to play games from CD-ROMs, can I hook up the two computers to each other or should I transfer the Cd drive from one computer to the other? How difficult would it be to transfer the CD drive? Any links to instructions?
Thank you!!

You can link the two computers through a network but I doubt any games allow you to do that. It's fairly easy to remove a cdrom drive. Just a few screws. Check your manual or apple.com for the specific instructions.
