Well most countries use this time frame as it the calender we use world wide. We can no longer use the term AD which stood for some Latin phrase for "In the year of our Lord" Now we have to use CE which means Common Era and to refer to before the birth of Christ we have to use BCE (Before the Common Era). Damn all this political correctness is driving me nuts!!
