I have met good and bad of all races; and the reality is ~ we are all part of the human race. Do you stick with "your own kind" because you have the same interests (music, etc.) or do you invite diversity in your friendship with others?

I'm interracial (asian, black (not of african descent, native american, and white) and hang out w/ everyone mostly. I have had different experiences from all races but truthfully I have had the hardest time in dealing with black or african american people. ****no offfense**** Not all though of course. I still make an attempt to get to know everyone.

I'm a caucasian female...
I work at a hospital and I have to admit that I go out of my way to meet and talk to black women. I love black women. Not in a gay way, but in an admirational way. They are always smiling and caring and helpful and they always look "cool". I love their confidence and I know it seems to be generalizations, but they are one of my most admired groups.

I will also try to be friends with someone from a foreign country. We are all the same, I love finding out where they came from and stuff.
I guess I invite diversity as far as race & religion.

I have never judged a race or, an individual. as a high school drop out, I wouldnt know how to start. I know when I like someone and, when I dont, I just leave them alone. that is the extent of My knowledge.

Diversity all the way! None of my friends are like me, we are from all different crowds and races and that's the way I like it.

Me and my best friend always joked about how unusual we looked together. A freaky pale a ss white girl with black lipstick and a little Asian girl in South Pole and a Bob Marley hat. Fun fun.

i'll admit that there are times i have a stereotype formed in my head of other races. but i know it's unhealthy, so i strive to get to know them. and in time, i've formed a very diverse bunch of friends, for which i'm grateful. and because i'm very competitive, i tend to choose friends based on diversity to avoid peer pressure.

Not really, but I get a lot of crap for not doing so. At lest 60% of my friend are non-black or non-chrstian. And this girl came up to me and was like, "why are you always making friends with the muslims and african people?" That made me so mad.

No, I don't judge anyone before I get to know them.
I will befriend anyone who shares my values and treats me with respect (not particularly in that order), no matter their race, gender, etc. *smiles*
Good question.
