yes of course havent we all had challenges that we must overcome. Of course I am a better person because in the course of going through the situation I leaned valuable life lessons. Challenges in my opinion make you a more well rounded and empathic individual and a better human being, making you much more useful within society. Good luck and God bless.

I've dealt with bad panic attacks over a long period.
They haven't made me a better person. I'm no different to how I was before I had them. I get fed up with people trying to make me feel better ( or themselves, I think) by saying I must be better or stronger for going through it; I'm not. I'm the same person I was before!
And I've lost loads of mates who just can't deal with them, or the fact I don;t always want to go out any more. It embarasses people.

At a young age, I had to overcome feelings if inferiority and inadequacy. With a lot of help from loving people, I succeeded, maybe too much as I can be arrogant at times.

My son was stabbed by his so-called friends in a robbery attempt, stayed alive on a machine for a week & then I had to make the call to take him off & let him die...Am I proud?....no...Am I a better person?....no....I hated God...I hated the people that did this...I hated their families...& I hated myself for not bringing him up in a better environment.
I have since realized that when it's your time to go, no one can change it. It's Gods' will. So maybe it made me a little stronger & a little wiser.

I am terrified of heights but did a solo parachute jump at 3200 feet for my 30th birthday (also raised 1500 pounds for cancer research). Felt terrified throughout but was walking on air afterwards.
