I think Amerigo Vespucci was the first, and He actually landed on the coast of South America. Supposedly, the Americas were named after him. I don't remember dates -its been many years since high school. :0)

The indians have supposedly been here since the last ice age, but I believe that belief will change eventually. In more modern times, it is fairly certain the vikings landed off of the Canadian coast early in the past millenium. Columbus is widely credited with discovering America in 1492, although he only discovered the West Indies. I think technically speaking our founding fathers "discovered" America, if by discover you mean founded.

There was no person named discover ammerica. If you do in fact mean who discovered America, then it was Christopher Colombus in 1492.

When you get a green card, come back and ask again. How pathetic you must be if you live in this country and cannot even answer the most basic question about it. Hasta La Vista illegal.
