No buds or phones which come with Ipods are any good. You invested in a quality piece of equipment, just spend a few $ more and get some good quality phones. Best money you will ever spend.

if you're not super-into audio technology, the ear buds will work fine. however, if you want to really hear the music and all the nuances, i'd go with either the noise-cancelling or ear canal phones. i have a pair of sony monitor headphones and they're flat sounding. too bassy. as far as what kind to buy, check out this link:

I don't like ear buds; after awhile they start to hurt the insides of your ears. Plus, they did a study awhile ago showing how they make you lose your hearing really fast. You should try something else.
